Wisconsin Parents Fearful After Illegal Immigrant Charged With Sexual Assault

Residents of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, are on high alert following the arrest of Alejandro Jose Coronel Zarate, a 26-year-old migrant charged with sexually assaulting a woman and her daughter, raising serious safety concerns in the small community.

Residents of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, are expressing concern following the arrest of Alejandro Jose Coronel Zarate, a 26-year-old migrant accused of sexual assault. The arrest occurred on September 9, with Zarate facing multiple charges related to alleged assaults on a woman and her daughter.

During a recent press briefing, Police Chief Kyle Teynor described the situation, stating that Zarate allegedly confined the victims in their home and assaulted them over time. This incident has raised alarms in a town typically known for its quiet environment.

Zarate has a criminal history, having faced charges in Minneapolis prior to his arrival in Wisconsin. He is reported to have tattoos that may be linked to gang affiliations. Currently, he faces charges including sexual assault and child abuse, and is being held on a $10,000 cash bond.

Local families have voiced their concerns to U.S. Congressman Derrick Van Orden, who noted that many parents are now hesitant to allow their children to play outside. He emphasized the need for community safety in light of recent events.

Van Orden also criticized local law enforcement for not addressing Zarate’s prior legal issues, suggesting that earlier action could have prevented the current situation. As Prairie du Chien processes this incident, community leaders are focused on ensuring the safety and security of residents.
