Trump Surging

Former President Donald Trump has pulled ahead of President Joe Biden in the latest national poll, signaling a shift in voter sentiment as the 2024 presidential race intensifies.

In the latest Quinnipiac University poll, former President Donald Trump has surged ahead of President Joe Biden in the race for the White House. Trump now leads Biden by four percentage points, with 49 percent of support compared to Biden's 45 percent.

This marks a reversal from May's poll, where Biden held a slight lead. Despite the controversial guilty verdict in Trump's business records trial, the poll indicates it has not affected his standing negatively, while Biden's support appears to have slipped. Trump also maintains a significant lead among independents, with 51 percent support compared to Biden's 41 percent. In a scenario including third-party candidates,

Trump leads with 43 percent, while Biden trails at 37 percent. The survey, conducted June 20-24, 2024, among 1,405 registered voters, carries a margin of error of ± 2.6 percent.
