In a thrilling lead-up to the Republican National Convention, former President Donald Trump revealed he has yet to finalize his vice presidential pick, keeping supporters and the media in suspense.

During an engaging interview with Fox News' Sean Hannity, President Trump discussed potential VP choices, including conservative stalwarts like Sens. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), and Tim Scott (R-S.C.), as well as North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum.

"The names you mentioned are definitely under consideration," Trump affirmed. "I haven't made a final decision, but I have some strong ideas."

Trump hinted that he might announce his running mate during the convention, set to begin on July 15 in Milwaukee. However, he noted that such an announcement could be "a little complicated."

"Probably a little before the convention, but not much. It could even be during the convention," he said, adding a layer of excitement for his supporters.

President Trump emphasized the qualities he seeks in a VP: someone capable of being an exceptional president and a figure who can significantly boost the ticket.

Trump campaign adviser Jason Miller echoed this sentiment in a separate interview, suggesting the announcement could come "anytime this week" or "literally right up until the first day of the convention."

Sen. Rubio, a key figure from the 2016 campaign, will join Trump at a rally in Florida on Tuesday. Rubio has been a staunch defender of Trump, recently rebutting claims about Trump’s connections to the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025. Rubio also aligned with Trump's stance on abortion, advocating for states' rights and realistic policies.

Meanwhile, Sen. Vance, known for his financial acumen, has expressed his commitment to Trump's campaign, stating, "We’re just trying to work to elect Donald Trump. Whoever his vice president is, he’s got a lot of good people he could choose from."

Gov. Burgum, addressing the possibility of becoming Trump's VP, emphasized his and his wife Kathryn's dedication to making a significant impact wherever they are most needed.

The anticipation continues to build as President Trump keeps the nation guessing about his final choice, promising a dynamic and impactful selection for his vice presidential candidate.
