Trump Leads in All Battleground States

In a surprising turn, former President Donald Trump leads Vice President Kamala Harris in every key battleground state, according to new polls, highlighting a tight and contentious race ahead of the 2024 election.

Former President Donald Trump is leading Vice President Kamala Harris, the recently anointed Democratic presidential nominee, in every key battleground state, according to a set of polls released Thursday.

The survey, conducted by Emerson College Polling and The Hill, found Trump ahead of Harris by five points in Arizona (49 percent to 44 percent), two points in Georgia (48 percent to 46 percent), one point in Michigan (46 percent to 45 percent), and two points in Pennsylvania (48 percent to 46 percent).

The close race reflects doubts expressed by former President Barack Obama, who has suggested Harris may struggle to defeat Trump in the general election and has reportedly withheld his endorsement, as Breitbart News reported.

In every state except Arizona, the polling results fall within the survey’s margin of error, indicating that Trump and Harris are essentially tied in most battleground state matchups.

An aggregate of national polls compiled by The Hill and Decision Desk HQ as of Wednesday afternoon shows Trump leading Harris by roughly 48 percent to 46 percent. This is a slightly narrower margin than the aggregate of national polls showing Trump leading Biden, 47 percent to 43 percent.
