Addressing the backlash to Biden’s remarks, Goldberg challenged the outrage. “So you know they’re working very hard to spin this to some crazy end," Goldberg said. "I don’t understand why all the pearl clutching over Biden’s statement...when what this other guy has said,” she added, alluding to Trump’s history of insults toward Democrats, whom he has labeled as “evil,” “dangerous,” and “the enemy within.”
Alyssa Farah Griffin, also on the panel, acknowledged that Clinton’s “deplorable” comment had a lasting impact, arguing that Biden’s choice of words could similarly alienate voters. Yet Goldberg doubled down, declaring, “But it turned out she was right.”
