So Much For "A New Way", Harris Promises More Of The Same

Vice President Kamala Harris made it clear on Tuesday that her presidency would closely mirror President Joe Biden’s, stating there’s "not a thing" she would have done differently during their administration, highlighting their shared priorities and policy achievements.

In a recent appearance on ABC’s "The View," Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris made it clear that her approach to leadership would largely mirror that of President Joe Biden. When asked by co-host Sunny Hostin about the potential differences between a Harris presidency and Biden’s, Harris emphasized their shared values and decision-making process.

“We’re two different people, but we have a lot of shared life experiences,” Harris said. “The way we feel about our family and parents, for example, but we’re also different people. I will bring those sensibilities to how I lead.”

However, when pressed on whether she would have handled any aspect of the last four years differently than President Biden, Harris was unequivocal: “There is not a thing that comes to mind.” She went on to highlight the significant achievements of the administration, noting her involvement in decisions that capped insulin prices at $35 for seniors and allowed Medicare to negotiate drug prices.

The vice president also underscored the administration’s efforts in job creation, particularly in the manufacturing sector. “We’ve created 800,000 new jobs around manufacturing,” Harris said, calling it a shared priority between her and Biden.

Harris’s comments affirm her strong alignment with Biden, suggesting that her presidency would continue along the path set by his administration. With the 2024 election looming, her remarks indicate she intends to build on the policies that have defined the Biden-Harris years.
