New York Governor's Controversial Remarks Ignite Firestorm: Branding Trump Supporters as 'Clowns' on CNN

Governor Hochul's CNN interview sparks controversy as she refers to millions of Trump supporters as "clowns," igniting outrage among Trump's base

New York Governor Hochul's remarks on CNN, branding millions of Trump supporters as "clowns," have sparked outrage among Trump's base. As the margin between Biden and Trump narrows even in traditionally blue states like New Jersey and New York, such attacks from Democrat leaders like Hochul reek of panic.

On CNN's "The Lead," Governor Kathy Hochul (D-NY) asserted that former President Donald Trump is wasting his time in New York, a state firmly in Joe Biden's camp, while Biden focuses on rallying support in battleground states.

Responding to Jake Tapper's question about Trump's attempts to appeal to voters of color in the Bronx, Hochul dismissed these efforts, stating that New York unequivocally rejects Trump. She underlined the state's unwavering support for Biden, criticizing Trump's self-serving motives and insisting that his rallies won't sway New York's allegiance.

Hochul highlighted Biden's dedication to all Americans, drawing a contrast between Trump's staged rallies and Biden's genuine efforts to win over support in battleground states. She ended by welcoming Trump to persist in his futile endeavors in New York, expressing confidence in the state's steadfast backing of Biden's presidency.
