Money Talks: Trump Campaign Raises $331 Million in Year’s 2nd Quarter, Smashes Biden’s Haul

Top Points:

  1. Trump Outraises Biden: Former President Donald Trump's campaign raised a record $331 million in the second quarter, significantly surpassing President Joe Biden's $264 million, eliminating Biden’s previous cash advantage.

  2. Effective Fundraising Strategy: Trump's campaign reported ending the quarter with $284.9 million cash on hand, compared to Biden’s $240 million. Senior advisers credit this success to a focused and efficient campaign, in contrast to Biden’s higher spending on advertising with limited results.

  3. Biden’s Debate Fallout: Following a calamitous debate performance, Democrat donor Whitney Tilson criticized Biden for "deceiving" voters about his mental fitness, suggesting a replacement candidate, adding to the concerns among Biden supporters about his candidacy.

Full Report:

Loyal supporters of former President Donald Trump’s bid for the White House are putting their money where their mouths are. His campaign proudly announced Tuesday that it outraised President Joe Biden in the year’s second quarter, amassing an impressive $331 million.

As reported by the AP via Breitbart, this staggering figure eclipses the $264 million that Biden’s reelection campaign and the Democratic National Committee managed to gather during the same period. This financial triumph eradicates Biden’s previous cash advantage and adds to the growing concerns among his supporters, especially following his disastrous debate performance last week.

The AP report provides the specifics:

Trump’s remarkable total includes $111.8 million raised in June alone. Although Biden reported raising $127 million in the same month, which included more than $33 million on the day of and after the debate, Trump's campaign ended the quarter with $284.9 million cash on hand compared to Biden’s $240 million.

“President Trump’s campaign fundraising operation is thriving day after day and month after month,” stated senior advisers Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles, as highlighted by Breitbart. They emphasized that Biden’s campaign spent significantly more on advertising with minimal gains, while Trump’s strategy remained focused and effective.

“This fundraising momentum is likely to grow even more as we head into a world-class convention and see the Democrats continue their circular firing squad in the aftermath of Biden’s debate collapse,” they added.

Meanwhile, Biden campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez lauded their fundraising efforts as a “testament to the committed and growing base of supporters standing firmly behind the president.”

However, Democrat donor Whitney Tilson criticized Biden, as reported by Breitbart News, for “deceiving” voters about his mental fitness following his debate performance. Tilson, a Wall Street investor who previously supported Hillary Clinton in 2016, told the New York Post that he felt “deceived” about Biden’s health and suggested considering a replacement candidate.
