Max Miller Spirals, Seat In Danger

Ohio Congressman Max Miller faces a tumultuous divorce and serious drug allegations from his estranged wife, Emily Moreno Miller, raising questions about his political future as he fights to maintain his seat in Congress amidst the controversy.

Max Miller, an Ohio GOP congressman and former aide to Donald Trump, is in danger of losing his seat in Congress as he becomes embroiled in a contentious divorce and custody battle that has taken a dramatic turn with accusations of drug use levied by his estranged wife, Emily Moreno Miller. The allegations surfaced in court papers filed by Miller himself, who revealed the details of their bitter split after just two years of marriage.

According to the documents, Moreno Miller, 30, allegedly fled their home in Rocky River, Ohio, taking their 10-month-old daughter, Ruth, and personal belongings to a newly purchased $650,000 house in Westlake. Miller claims her father, Bernie Moreno—who is currently running for the U.S. Senate and is a Trump-endorsed candidate—secretly financed the home.

Miller, 35, asserts that Moreno Miller used drug allegations as a tactic to restrict his access to their daughter. In response to these claims, he took a voluntary drug test to demonstrate his sobriety, which he passed. His attorney reiterated to the media that Miller does not use drugs and declined to comment further on the situation.

The court papers detail a breakdown in their relationship, highlighting accusations of Moreno Miller preventing Miller from seeing their daughter unless she was present. He described her claims that he posed a danger as “absolutely absurd,” recalling how she had left him in charge of their daughter during her attendance at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee just months before she moved out.

In a twist typical of the MAGA world, Moreno Miller is the daughter of Bernie Moreno, a notable figure in the Trump sphere. While the court filings did not specify who Miller allegedly disparaged, they underscore the complications of their intertwined political and familial connections.

Additionally, Miller's legal troubles extend beyond his divorce, as he is currently involved in a separate lawsuit against former Trump White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham, who accused him of domestic abuse. He is seeking damages for defamation from Grisham’s allegations, which he categorically denies.

Amid this tumult, Bernie Moreno has refrained from commenting on the allegations or the couple’s tumultuous split, stating through a spokesperson that it is a private family matter.

As the divorce proceedings unfold, the spotlight remains on Miller, whose political future may hinge on the outcome of both legal battles and public perceptions shaped by these explosive allegations.
