Maryland Woman Murdered by Illegal

The tragic murder of Rachel Morin along a serene Maryland trail has become a focal point in the debate over U.S. immigration policy, reigniting contentious discourse as former President Donald Trump accuses President Joe Biden of failing to secure the border, citing Morin's death as a grim consequence.

The death of Rachel Morin on August 5, 2023, while out for a walk along the Ma & Pa Heritage Trail in Bel Air, Maryland, has reignited criticism of President Joe Biden's immigration policies. Morin, reported missing by her boyfriend after failing to return home, was tragically found murdered the following day.

Authorities subsequently arrested Victor Antonio Martinez Hernandez, a 23-year-old illegal immigrant from El Salvador, in connection with Morin's rape and murder, as well as other violent crimes in Los Angeles, California. Martinez Hernandez had crossed into the United States in February 2023, fleeing charges of murder in El Salvador, where he had allegedly killed another woman just a month prior to entering the country through the southern border.

Former President Donald Trump condemned Biden's immigration policies in a post on Truth Social, directly linking them to Morin's death. Trump criticized Biden for allowing Martinez Hernandez, a known criminal, into the country and accused him of prioritizing mass amnesty over public safety. Trump pledged a return to strict border controls and deportation of illegal immigrants under his administration, emphasizing the need to protect American citizens from such tragic incidents.

Rachel Morin is survived by her boyfriend, five children, five siblings, and a large circle of family and friends who mourn her loss deeply.
