It's Raining Men At The Harris Campaign

Vice President Kamala Harris is under fire after it was revealed that her Pennsylvania deputy press secretary, Eric Lipka, performs as a drag queen on weekends, raising concerns among Catholic voters in the critical swing state.

Vice President Kamala Harris is facing scrutiny after it was revealed that a key campaign staffer, Eric Lipka, performs as a drag queen on the weekends under various names, including "Erotica the Drag Queen" and "Erica Lipka." Lipka, who serves as the Pennsylvania deputy press secretary for Harris, has been active in the drag scene, performing at events in Virginia, Delaware, and other locations across the East Coast.

This revelation comes at a sensitive time for Harris, as her campaign is already struggling to maintain support among Catholic voters in Pennsylvania, particularly due to her stance on unrestricted abortion. Pennsylvania is home to a significant Catholic population, making up nearly 24% of the state’s residents. Lipka’s drag persona, coupled with his controversial social media presence, has drawn attention to his role within the Harris campaign.

Lipka’s social media accounts were reportedly "locked down" after Fox News reached out for comment in July, but some of his posts, including drag performance videos and comments, remain visible. Despite the controversy, the Harris campaign has not responded to requests for comment. In July, however, President Biden's campaign defended Lipka, emphasizing the strength of their Pennsylvania staff and focusing on countering former President Donald Trump’s record on jobs and policies.

Prior to joining the Harris campaign, Lipka worked for Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Rep. Robert Garcia, where he helped build Garcia’s LGBTQ+ outreach. The drag queen-turned-communications staffer now finds himself in the spotlight, raising questions about the Harris campaign’s strategy and its appeal to more traditional voters in the battleground state of Pennsylvania.
