Hunter Pleads Guilty!

Hunter Biden shocked federal prosecutors by announcing plans to change his plea to guilty on tax charges, signaling a major shift in his legal strategy amidst multiple felony and misdemeanor allegations.

Hunter Biden intends to change his plea to guilty on federal tax charges, his attorney revealed in court Thursday, catching federal prosecutors by surprise. Initially pleading not guilty, Biden’s lawyer, Abbe Lowell, announced the shift during the trial, prompting prosecutor Leo Wise to note that the prosecution had no prior knowledge of this development.

Sources familiar with the case clarified that Biden’s change of plea is not yet finalized and is simply an offer from the defense. The special counsel's team, led by David Weiss, is currently deliberating on next steps, with the Department of Justice in Washington also considering its involvement.

Biden faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges related to a four-year scheme in which he allegedly evaded paying $1.4 million in taxes between 2016 and 2019, despite having access to funds. Weiss claims that Biden spent millions on an extravagant lifestyle while deliberately neglecting his tax obligations. Biden’s legal troubles continue after being found guilty earlier this year on separate charges related to firearms possession and false statements.

The plea change and other charges could result in significant prison time, with a potential maximum sentence of 25 years and hefty fines of up to $250,000 per count. Sentencing for Biden’s previous convictions has yet to be scheduled.
