Once seen as a future leader in Kentucky's Democratic Party, State Rep. Daniel Grossberg now faces accusations of offering a stripper $5,000 for sex and being banned from a strip club, threatening to derail his political career.
Kentucky State Rep. Daniel Grossberg, once seen by some as a future leader of the Democratic Party in the state, is now facing scandalous allegations that threaten his political career. Grossberg, already under investigation for sexually harassing several women, is accused of offering a stripper $5,000 for sex and being banned from a Louisville strip club for inappropriate behavior, according to the *Lexington Herald-Leader*.
The married 45-year-old lawmaker allegedly made the offer at Foxy, a local strip club he frequented, and was later kicked out for fondling dancers and verbally harassing them. “He was calling girls all kinds of names, disrespecting them, and grabbing them,” said club co-owner Milford Renfrow. After threatening the club’s manager by claiming he could shut it down, Grossberg was permanently banned.
Despite his previous standing as a rising star in Kentucky politics, Grossberg is now facing widespread condemnation. While he has called the accusations “outlandish” and denies soliciting prostitution, Kentucky Democrats have removed him from their party caucus, and Governor Andy Beshear has urged him to resign. Grossberg’s troubles began when accusations surfaced of him questioning a female aide about her sexual history while drunk, further intensifying calls for his resignation.
