CNN Journalist Says Online She "HATES ZIONISM"

CNN's credibility is under fire as antisemitic remarks from a senior reporter cast doubt on the integrity of a controversial article questioning Israel's military actions against Hamas.

CNN faces renewed controversy as senior investigations reporter Tamara Qiblawi is under scrutiny for past antisemitic comments, including a 2012 social media post in which she expressed hatred for Zionism. Despite these views, Qiblawi authored a widely-cited article this week that challenges Israel's claims of progress in its conflict with Hamas, suggesting that the militant group remains resilient.

The article, which questions Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's assertions of nearing victory, has been met with criticism, particularly from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), who refuted the article's claims. Nevertheless, the piece gained significant attention, including coverage by Israel's Army Radio.

Critics have pointed out potential bias in the article, noting that one of its key sources, retired U.S. Army Col. Peter Mansoor, supports the establishment of a Palestinian state even after the October 7 terror attacks. This has raised concerns about the political slant of the article.

Qiblawi's past work has also come under scrutiny. Her CNN biography highlights her experience as a freelancer in Beirut, but critics, like analyst Eitan Fischberger, have noted that she has contributed to Al Akhbar English, a publication known for its pro-Hezbollah and anti-American stance.

Neither CNN nor Qiblawi has responded to requests for comment. In response to the article, Israeli government spokesman David Mencer dismissed it as "shoddy" journalism, asserting that Israel has significantly weakened Hamas and is continuing its efforts to dismantle the organization.
