The controversy began when *CBS This Morning* co-anchor Tony Dokoupil dared to ask tough questions to Ta-Nehisi Coates about his antisemitic book. Instead of supporting journalistic integrity, CBS forced Dokoupil to express “regret” for merely doing his job. Coates, a darling of the far-left, is treated by CBS as untouchable, and any attempt to challenge his views was met with internal backlash.
While Dokoupil faced consequences for his legitimate journalistic efforts, CBS’s *60 Minutes* took the opposite approach with Vice President Kamala Harris. During a recent interview, the show was caught manipulating footage to make Harris sound more articulate than she had been. This is not the first time *60 Minutes* has shielded a Democrat candidate from scrutiny—back in 2012, it infamously edited out Barack Obama’s admission about the Benghazi terror attack. Now, the program stands accused of releasing a doctored transcript to cover up Harris’s incoherent responses.
Moreover, CBS News has still not retracted its false claims that Hunter Biden’s laptop was Russian disinformation, further eroding its credibility.
